- Eligible Countries: All World Countries
- Key Eligibility Criteria:
- Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of the solution is 4 or above
- Equity investment in the business is less than £500,000
- Innovation is protectable, and the applicant owns or co-owns the IP
- The applicant owns the highest equity stake in the company within the founding team
- Applicant is, or has the ambition to be, the CEO or COO of the business
- For startups: Applicant is not a student or otherwise employed during the program
- For startups: Applicant has completed their first university degree by July 1, 2018
- For spinouts: Applicant is currently employed by the university
- If relevant, the PhD viva will be held no later than November 30, 2023

- The application process consists of two stages: Stage one and Stage two.
- In Stage one, provide brief information about yourself and your idea.
- If eligible, you will be invited to complete a Stage two application, which is more detailed.
