The story of Doctor Stranger starts with a child Park Hoon and his father Park Cheo who is a very famous doctor and is very busy with his work. He was sent to North Korea to perform surgery on Kim III Sung to avoid the second Korean war. Park Hoon also reached North Korea and how he went it is a mystery. Both have lost the access to return to South Korea and get trapped in North Korea. He met Song Jae-hee and they studied there.
Hoon became a genius cardiothoracic surgeon and Jae-hee became an anesthesia specialist. One day Jae-hee and his family disappeared and Hoon found them in critical condition so Jae-hee’s father requested Hoon to save Jae-hee by transplanting his kidney to her. Hoon performed that surgery but when Jae-hee and Hoon were trying to escape from North Korea because Jae-hee’s family was being chased by the Army as they had a false allegation of doing some wicked acts. But Jae-hee gets detached from Hoon.
Hoon returned to South Korea and tried to find Jae-hee. In South Korea when Hoon was working as a Doctor at Myungwoo Hospital, the same hospital where his father was working, he saw a girl the same as Jae-hee. But she refused to know him. At the same time, He met his greatest competitor Lee Sung-hoon. After a great rivalry, they became friends and Hoon succeeded in his plans and saved The Prime Minister by performing surgery. Jae-hee also got permission to live in South Korea. Hoon finally met his soulmate Jae-hee.
